About Me

My name is Riley Scott Johnson. I am going to LBCC as a way to change careers. I have actually gone to LBCC before, and ended up dropping out. After that I went into Information Technology, and self taught myself the certifications. On my free time I mostly play card games, usually Magic the Gathering. I also love video games, especially strategy games. I am coming back to school to study Journalism, and I hope to someday become an investigative journalist. I was inspired to go into journalism because of just how much is constantly happening in our modern world, and I think a lot of traditional forms of news media is ineffective in the modern day. Not to mention how low trust is in the media for the average person. I am especially interested in financial/business journalism as I think money and economic is so poorly understood in the modern day, and we have seen a massive explosion in financial crime in recent years that has gone largely unpunished.
